As many of you know, I recently lost "someone" very close to me...my Canon!  It drowned at Daytona Beach, FL, being swept out to sea by the nasty tide of noonday!  Recently, I have purchased a second camera, and this blog will be dedicated to pictures and videos taken with the new Canon 550d (T2i).  I believe that i had a good camera with my last Canon (300d), but there were 2 things I failed to do while owning that Canon...I failed to learn my camera, and I failed to enjoy taking pictures.  I limited myself to a few hundred pictures a week of just one subject - ALAINA - while rarely taking the camera off of the fully automatic mode. 

Now that I actually have a camera again, I will be setting myself some goals as far as photography is concerned.  I am going to assign myself 4 photographs to take each week - that is more than a photo every other day.  This will do a couple of things:

1. It will force me to actually get out there and take pictures...thus, learn my camera and more about photography.  
2. It will force creativity in my photography (something that I desperately need).  

Each Monday, I will be posting the 4 projects for that week, while the photos will be posted each Saturday.  If you ever have any ideas for photos, please, please, PLEASE post them on here, as I will definitely need some help from time to time I'm sure.
